PRESTO E-Tickets

Simply buy your E-Ticket on the PRESTO app, or on the PRESTO website, then activate your E-Ticket in the app before you board. Open the PRESTO app, select the E-Ticket you want to use and then select “Activate.” Your E-Ticket will be activated right away. Once you board, scan the ticket’s QR code on a PRESTO device using the barcode reader.

Make sure your phone has enough battery power for your trip. If your phone dies or stops working while travelling, you will need to pay your fare with cash, from a Ticket machine (if applicable) or with a PRESTO card. You will not lose any non-activated E-Tickets you’ve already bought. However, if you activated an E-Ticket before your phone stopped working, that E-Ticket will expire at the end of the travel window.

All PRESTO E-Tickets and passes are final sale.

If you need to transfer to a different transit agency when travelling with a PRESTO E-Ticket, you will need to use another method of fare payment.

When transferring to another bus on the same transit agency, make sure to scan your E-Ticket’s QR code on the PRESTO device on the bus when you transfer. You won’t be able to see your transfers when you check your history in the PRESTO app. One Fare discounts are not available with PRESTO E-Tickets.

If you want to send a PRESTO E-Ticket to someone else through the PRESTO website, make sure that you have signed into the PRESTO app at least once. Then you can sign into your PRESTO account, find your e-tickets and click "Send" to send that e-ticket to someone else.
