Learn all of the ways you can load your PRESTO card and manage your card balance.
Add funds: You can load anywhere from $10-$1000 on your PRESTO card. As you tap to travel on transit, the PRESTO system deducts the fare for your trip from your card’s balance. You can load your card online, through the PRESTO App, in person at a Customer Service Outlet, at Shoppers Drug Mart locations in the GTHA and Ottawa, at PRESTO Self-Serve Reload Machines, at Fare Vending Machines at TTC Stations, or at select Ticket Vending Machines at some GO and UP Express stations.
Add a monthly/weekly transit pass: Some transit agencies offer weekly or monthly transit passes to load onto your PRESTO card. Just tap each time you travel and the device will verify the pass is active. You can add passes online through your My PRESTO Account or in person at a Customer Service Outlet. If you have a My PRESTO Account you can set up Autoload, which will add funds to your PRESTO card automatically and instantly whenever your balance falls below a set amount, designated by you.
Set up and manage Autoload online: Autoload can be set up online using your credit card, Visa Debit card or Debit Mastercard. You can set up and manage Autoload online through your My PRESTO Account. If you would like to set up Autoload using your bank account, please use a paper form.
Set up Autoload by mail: Download an Autoload form from the Forms page, and mail it to us.
If you have a My PRESTO Account you can set up Autorenew, to automatically add your next month’s transit pass.
If you set up Autorenew in the first 14 days of the month, the current month’s pass will be added to your card and a monthly pass will automatically be added every month. You will be charged for the next month’s pass six days before the end of each month. After that, the next time you tap your card on a PRESTO reader as part of a regular trip your monthly pass will be added to your card.
If you set up Autorenew in the second half of the month, you will be charged for the next month’s pass six days before the end of the month. The next time you tap your card on a PRESTO reader as part of a regular trip your Autorenew contract will be added to your card.
Set up and manage Autorenew online: Autorenew can be set up online using your credit card, Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard. You can set up and manage Autorenew online through your My PRESTO Account. If you would like to set up Autorenew using your bank account (pre-authorized debit), please use a paper form.
Set up Autorenew by mail: Download an Autorenew form from the Forms page, and mail it to us.
Saved Payment Method stores your credit card or debit account information in your PRESTO account so you don't have to enter it each time you load funds online or by phone. When you load funds or purchase a transit pass online there will be an option to use your Saved Payment Method at checkout.
Saved Payment Method does not automatically load funds - if you would like your card to reload automatically please set up Autoload.
Set up and manage Saved Payment Method online: You can set up a Saved Payment Method and manage your existing Saved Payment Method online through your My PRESTO Account. Simply follow the instructions on the Reload with Saved Payment Method page.
Set up Saved Payment Method by mail: Visit the Paper Forms page if you want to set up a Saved Payment Method by mail.
Use Saved Payment Method by phone: Call the Call Centre at 1-877-378-6123 and follow the instructions.
Please note that transactions performed online will expire in 30 days if you do not tap your card by using it to travel or using a Balance Checker. To reactivate an expired transaction, please call 1-877-378-6123.
